The Airvance Group is pursuing its external growth strategy, and has acquired AEIB, an industrial ventilation and smoke extraction specialist.
For almost 50 years, AEIB Ventilateurs, a family company, has been designing and manufacturing ATEX and IECEX certified industrial ventilation and smoke extraction solutions, which are systems designed for explosive or hazardous environments to be used in the nuclear and maritime markets. AEIB is based in France (Tresses – 33), in the Bordeaux region, and has a production site spanning 5300 m². The company has had ISO 9001 certification since 2003. With a turnover of €8M in 2021, and 50 staff members, the company serves customers in the defence and nuclear sector across the world. Furthermore, in recent years, AEIB has developed several ranges of smoke extraction fans in collaboration with the Airvance Group.
As an expert in air diffusion and handling, the Airvance Group works to protect the safety and wellbeing of all, both at home and in their places of work. Fire protection and smoke extraction are the most important safety features within a building. Fire protection equipment is designed to prevent a fire breaking out, by using the most suitable materials. Smoke extraction, on the other hand, must ensure fumes and toxic gases are removed. With this acquisition, the Airvance Group will strengthen its expertise in the industrial and smoke extraction sector, and is hoping to develop synergies in terms of the product offerings. AEIB has proven expertise in smoke extraction: its Research & Development team, the quality of its products (ISO 9001 certified for over 10 years), its broad ranges, and its test laboratory will strengthen the Airvance Group’s expertise in smoke extraction and industry.
